A Beginning

In 1992 Irl Calvin Greer, completed his life story - "Tot, The Life Story of I. Calvin Greer, Sr." which was a brief, albeit incomplete autobiography of his life up to that point. We were very fortunate that he did take the time to record his life story as it would be less than three years before he would pass away due to the effects of prostrate cancer. To my knowledge, Dad's eighty-five-page autobiography was the only record of his life and times anywhere. As the Internet has evolved I attempted to locate additional information regarding his life through online searches, but as of this date December 31, 2015 I have found nothing other than references to his birth and death dates in genealogical sites. So, after enlisting the help of my brothers I have set out to establish an open digest of remembrances of my father's life, from the viewpoint of family and friends. I invite all to submit anecdotes, stories, images and memories of Dad's life so that continuing generations will have a more robust and complete portrait of a man that influences thousands for good during his lifetime.
